Project Summary:
Join desperate playwright/director Thomas Novachek who has adapted the sadomasochist German novel Venus in Fur to a play of the same name. Divinely timed and after hours of failed auditions Vanda Jordan waltzes into Thomas’ audition room in the middle of a stormy evening. The insistent Vanda convinces Thomas to read his script with her as the pair play a game of cat and mouse, blurring the lines of script and reality, submission and domination, masculinity and femininity questioning the politics of power between the sexes.
